For a safer ride, Cycles Brixton International recommends that you have a qualified mechanic assemble and frequently inspect all parts of your bicycle for wear, cracks, micro-fractures, corrosion, deformation, separation, delaminating of carbon fibers, dents, paint damage and any other indicator of problems before they could cause product failure.

Any product that is worn out, has lost its structural integrity or shows any sign of fatigue or damage must be replaced immediately to reduce the possibility of an accident that could cause serious injuries.

INTENDED USE: This product has been designed solely for road or track (velodrome) use on smooth surfaces.  There are risks inherent in bike riding and factors such as poor maintenance, lack of frequent inspections, poor visibility, darkness or rain greatly increase these risks. Proper maintenance, frequent inspections, using a helmet, high-visibility bike wear, bike lights, rear view mirrors,  and riding conservatively help reduce, but cannot completely eliminate, such risks.

If there is any reason to suspect the integrity of your bicycle frame or components, or if your bicycle has been involved in an accident of any kind, do not ride it. Take it to your Brixton dealer immediately for inspection.

LIMITED WARRANTY: THREE YEARS / TWO YEARS / ONE YEAR (paint, decals, finish)

Cycles Brixton International, Inc. guarantees its frames, if purchased from authorized Brixton dealers, to be free from manufacturing or material defects for:

Three years from the date of retail purchase if you register the frame, within forty-five days from purchase, on the www.cbidistribution.com website

Two years if you do not register the frame within forty-five days after retail purchase.

Any paint, decals and finish applied by Cycles Brixton International, Inc. are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the original date of purchase.  Scratches, dings or abrasions caused by use or handling are not considered to be defects.

If a frame or part is found by Cycles Brixton International, Inc. to be defective within the terms of this warranty, it will be repaired or replaced, at the option of Cycles Brixton International, Inc., free of charge.  If the original product is not available any longer, it will be replaced with an equivalent product of similar value.

Other products such as forks, stems, handlebars, headsets, wheels and all other bicycle components sold by Cycles Brixton International, Inc., whether branded Brixton or of other marquees will be covered by the warranties of the respective manufacturers.  Please address your claim to them.  This warranty does not cover:

1. products without a legitimate dated proof of purchase
2. products not purchased through an authorized Brixton dealer
3. products whose identification markings have been removed, altered, effaced or made unreadable
4. normal wear and tear (including fatigue)
5. damage caused by neglect, abuse or misuse, improper assembly (including improper tightening torques), improper or insufficient maintenance, accidents, stunt riding, jumping, impacts, corrosion, aggressive cleaners, energy drinks, gels, use with non compatible components, improper repairs, and more generally anything which is not a material or manufacturing defect.
6. products which reached the natural end of their useful life cycle
7. UV rays effects (colors fading, turning yellow)
8. the effects of a saline environment
9. re-painted products (including partial re-painting)
10. products used commercially
11. products modified in any way
12. shipping damage (the forwarder is responsible)
13. cosmetic blemishes which were apparent or discoverable at the time of purchase of the product

This warranty is valid only with the original owner and is not transferable.  This warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of a defective item and is the sole remedy of the warranty.

Please note that in addition to this policy you may have specific legal rights granted by the national or state laws of the country where the product was sold.  If any part of this warranty is void due to the above national laws, the rest will remain valid.

When a product is repaired or replaced free of charge under warranty coverage, the repaired or replaced product remains covered under any residual part of the original warranty, there is no renewal or extension of the warranty period.

When a product is replaced under warranty the original product becomes property of Cycles Brixton International, Inc.

CLAIMS

To make a claim under this warranty, you must contact the dealer from whom the product was purchased.  Repair or replacement of defective part(s) under warranty will be at the discretion of Cycles Brixton International, Inc. and handled through an authorized Brixton dealer.  Please retain your original receipt as proof of purchase.

The product should be returned clean, together with:

1. your name, address, phone numbers and e-mail (as provided when the bike was registered on our website, if registered)
2. a dated invoice or receipt for proof of date and place of retail purchase
3. a detailed description of the problem experienced (we suggest the use of adhesive tape to help us identify the exact position of the problem)
4. a list of the components used in conjunction with the claimed product
5. a declaration on how to treat the product if found not-warrantable; without a specific declaration the product will be kept at your disposal for 10 days and then destroyed

CRASH REPLACEMENT PROGRAM

If you buy a frame from an authorized Brixton dealer, and register the frame on the www.cbidistribution.com website within forty-five days from purchase, correctly fill out all mandatory fields, you are automatically enrolled in the “crash replacement” program.

This program offers you the possibility to buy a new frame from any authorized Brixton dealer at a discounted price if the original frame is accidentally damaged beyond repair, during the warranty period.

The discount is offered by Cycles Brixton International, Inc. and does not cover the cost of labor or other charges related to disassembly of the damaged bicycle or assembly of the new bicycle.  The paint scheme on your Brixton frame is one-of-a-kind and will not be reproduced.  When taking advantage of the crash replacement program you must choose a paint scheme currently available from an authorized Brixton dealer.

Replacement Request

You must notify Cycles Brixton International, Inc. in writing within thirty days of the damage to the frame (specifying serial number) and your desire to replace the damaged frame with a new one at a discounted price; then you must contact an authorized Brixton dealer to order the new frame, supplying:

1. the original proof of purchase and the contact information as provided when registering the frame
2. jpg images of the entire bike after the accident, and close-up images of the damaged portion
3. copy of any accident report (if one was filled out)
4. the damaged frame, which will become property of Cycles Brixton International, Inc. in exchange for granting the discount on the new frame.

All of the above warranties are in lieu of all other warranties and implied warranties, including the warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.  Coverage under any of these warranties does not include incidental or consequential damages.

Cycles Brixton International, Inc. reserves the right to cancel or modify this policy at any time without prior notice.
